POP3 support in mailbox
What is POP3?
The POP3 protocol is an older, simple retrieval protocol that can only download emails from the inbox. POP3 does not support email folders – this feature is only available with IMAP.
If you work with folders or wish to keep your emails synchronised across multiple devices, we strongly recommend using IMAP.
Accessing emails via POP3
You can retrieve your emails using the POP3 protocol. The hostname (inbox server) is as follows:
pop3.mailbox.org
The connection is secured via SSL/TLS. Modern email programmes usually recognise this automatically and configure the settings correctly on their own.
Using mailbox as a POP3 client
