Setup with Microsoft Outlook 2013
We will now explain how to set up your new mailbox.org mailbox with Microsoft Outlook 2013 in just a few short steps. Click on ‘File’ and then select ‘Add mail account.’
Select manual configuration as shown in the screenshot:
Select the lowermost of the three options ‘POP or IMAP’ and click on ‘Continue.’
Enter the correct values in the fields with red-colored names. Make sure that you spell the incoming and outgoing mail servers correctly. Then click on ‘More Settings.’
First select the second tab ‘Outgoing server,’ check the box ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication,’ and select ‘Use same settings as for my incoming mail server.’ Then select the third tab ‘Advanced.’
In this tab, enter the configuration as shown in the screenshot. Pay close attention to the encryption and the port numbers. Then click on ‘OK’ to close the window.
Now click on ‘Next’ in the ‘Add account’ window. Your Outlook 2013 should now check the account settings. Once the two checks have been successfully completed, please click on ‘Close’ and then again on ‘Next.’
Congratulations. Your mailbox.org mailbox has now been configured in Outlook. Click on ‘Finish’ to apply the newly created configuration in Outlook.
