ποΈ S/MIME Encryption
S/MIME offers the encryption and signing of e-mails by means of certificates issued by trustworthy organizations, so-called Certificate Authorities. This makes it possible to ensure that the e-mails actually originate from the respective sender. mailbox.org now offers the possibility to import S/MIME-certificates from selected organizations into mailbox.org-Guard. This way you can encrypt and sign your emails with S/MIME.

We recommend the software Gpg4win for setting up your e-mail account on Windows using Microsoft Outlook. Download the software and install it on your Windows PC. This software contains all of the necessary tools.

Use the fee-based GPGTools program collection available at www.gpgtools.org to encrypt e-mails using the Apple e-mail client in OS X. Download GPG Suite and install it on your Mac. This software contains all of the necessary tools.
