Setup with Mozilla Thunderbird
Our servers are configured such that when you type in your mailbox.org e-mail address, Mozilla Thunderbird will recognise the required settings automatically.
To create a new e-mail account in Mozilla Thunderbird, click the corresponding link on the welcome page. A pop-up window will appear, where you need to enter your sender name, mailbox.org e-mail address, and password.
Once you have done that, click on the Next button. Thunderbird will now connect to our mail servers to retrieve the correct settings and offer you to choose either IMAP or POP3 as account type.
Finally, click on the Done button to verify your password and complete the setup.
How to use email aliases with Thunderbird
To use your aliases in Thunderbird you have to setup the account with your main address first. Afterwards you may open the Account Settings. At bottom right you will find the button Manage Identities...
A click on the button will a list of email aliases connected with this account:
If you write a new email you can choose the sender address from the drop down box in the editor.
