What is the PGP key “noreply@mailbox.org” used for?

For security reasons, we periodically renew the PGP keys for noreply@mailbox.org, which we use to sign outgoing informational emails from this address. To ensure that the signature can be correctly verified, it is necessary that you load the new PGP key into your keyring after a renewal.

If you are using Linux, simply use the following command in the terminal:

gpg --refresh-keys

In Thunderbird, first delete the old PGP key and then download the new one. Proceed as follows:

1. In Thunderbird's menu, select Tools and then OpenPGP Key Manager.

2. Select the key noreply@mailbox.org, click Edit in the menu and then Delete Key(s). Confirm the deletion.

3. Under Keyserver, select the Discover keys online.

4. Enter noreply@mailbox.org into the command prompt, then click OK.

   The key with the following fingerprint will then be displayed:

   0364 1397 8F85 757A A899 FFA4 6F82 3A8C 655E DCC6

5. If the fingerprint matches, select Accepted (unverified) and then click Import.

   Attention

   Accept the key only if the fingerprint is correct.

6. Confirm the import by clicking OK.

You have now imported the current key. The signature of noreply@mailbox.org emails will once again be displayed as verified.
