CalDAV and CardDAV for Evolution
Evolution (Gnome/Linux)
If you are using Evolution (for example, within the Gnome desktop environment), your password is stored in the Gnome Keyring. If you experience login issues, please check whether the interaction between Evolution and the keyring is functioning correctly.
Follow these steps to set up synchronization for your address books and calendars in Evolution. Please note the difference between CardDAV (for address books) and CalDAV (for calendars) in the URL field.

You can set up the calendar using either the calendar URL together with your username and password, or simply by entering your username and password.

- Right-click in the left-hand sidebar and select New Address Book.
- Choose WebDAV as the type.

https://dav.mailbox.org/carddav/folder-ID

max.mustermann@mailbox.org. - Confirm your entries with OK.

Notes
After saving, the address book should automatically synchronize with your mailbox account.
If you experience issues with authentication, make sure that your Gnome Keyring is functioning correctly and that your mailbox credentials are stored securely.
The synchronization for both CalDAV and CardDAV connections runs continuously and ensures your data stays up to date across devices.
