Exclude individual e-mails from automatic encryption

Automatic inbox encryption in the mailbox web client

In the mailbox web client, you can set up automatic inbox encryption under All settings | Read and write email | Inbox encryption. Here you can safely insert your public key (in the usual ASCII armor format). When you activate the encrypted mailbox, all incoming mails that are not already detected as encrypted will be automatically encrypted for you.

After activating your encrypted mailbox, it will also appear in the filter rules under All settings | Read and write email | Rules.

If you want to exclude certain mails from encryption, simply create a new filter rule and define the sender, subject, or other criteria by which the filter can recognize mails that should not be encrypted. Choose keep as the action or have the affected mails moved directly to another folder.

Important: At the end of the rule, remove the check mark for Check subsequent mail rules.
