What do I need to do to use mailbox Business as a company?
You can find detailed instructions in the article mailbox Business – Getting started.
The three most important steps are as follows:
1. Register Business account
Register a new Business account on the following page: Register at mailbox
2. Configure your custom domain
As a company, you use your custom domain with mailbox.
- Register the mailbox security key with your domain registrar.
- Set the corresponding MX records in your DNS.

3. Create email addresses and forwardings
- Log in to the console.
- Click on an existing domain.
- Click the plus icon to set up a new mailbox or a forwarding.
What is the global address book?
The global address book contains your own contact details as well as the email addresses of the members of your Business account. The entries in this address book are generated automatically and cannot be edited or shared.
External contacts are not displayed here – these can be found under My address books.
How do I set a new password for the account administration?
- Log in to the console with your old password.
If you have forgotten the password for the administration account, please contact our Support. Please use the email address listed as the contact person in your account to contact us. - After logging in, click on the small pencil icon in the upper area of the information box.
- Scroll down on the new page that has opened, set your new password and click Save.
Where can I find my invoice?
We will send you the invoices monthly to the stored address by email as a PDF file.
How do I change my billing data?
You can do this in the same way as a password change.
After logging in, click on the small pencil icon in the upper area of the information box.
Meaning of the form fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Email address of contact person | Our administrative contact. The address stored here is authorised to submit support requests. |
| Billing address | Monthly invoices are sent to this address. Make sure that this address is always accessible. |
| Phone number of contact person | If your plan includes telephone support, this phone number is authorised to submit support requests. |
| Address | The address of your company. |
| Billing address same as main address | If your billing address differs from your company address, uncheck the box and enter the billing address in the corresponding fields. |
| Memo | Field for short notes. It does not accept email addresses to avoid misunderstandings. |
| Password | Input field for a new password of the administration account. Attention: No typo check! The entered value will become your new password after saving. |
| Account actions | Contains the button for timely termination of the contract. A submitted termination may be displayed directly on the start page in the information box. |
