How to plan a new Meeting in Meet
Start or Schedule a Meeting
On the start page of mailbox Meet, you can either start a meeting immediately or open advanced settings to schedule a video conference by selecting Schedule a new meeting (Figure 1).

Start a Meeting Immediately
If you select Start a meeting immediately, you will receive the required access details that you can share to invite other participants (Figure 2).
- The Meeting link provides direct access for you as the administrator.
- To invite additional participants, simply share the generated Guest link.
- If you would like to invite participants who can only join by phone, you can provide the number for Dial-in by phone.
- Once you have completed your preparations, you can proceed by selecting Open video room. You will then be redirected to the welcome screen. For more information, see Getting started with mailbox Meet.

Schedule a Meeting
You have more options for preparing a video conference when you select Schedule a new meeting (Figure 1). Here you can adjust the following settings (Figure 3):

- Assign a Title for the meeting.
- Add a description to provide additional Details.
- Set a Password for participation to protect access to the conference.
- Choose whether to create a permanent conference room or a time-based meeting, and
- schedule the desired period for the conference.
- Define whether the meeting should occur regularly by configuring a Recurring meeting.
- Optionally, enable the Waiting room for other participants.
- Save your settings to finalize the meeting.
After saving, you will receive the required access details for the meeting (Figure 3) and can open it at any time. For more information, see Getting started with mailbox Meet.
