Polls and Voting in Meet

Polls and Surveys in mailbox Meet

At mailbox Meet, you have the option to conduct both polls and simple surveys.

Polls with mailbox Meet

To create and start a poll, select Poll (1) from the left-hand menu and then click the Create poll (2) button (Figure 1).

Figure 1: With **Polls**, you can create different types of polls and surveys.

Define poll details

In the following window, you can define the parameters for your poll. Adjustable options include the duration of the poll (3), the option to allow abstentions (4), as well as an automatic ending (5) once all votes have been submitted. Here you also assign the title of the poll (6), an optional subtitle (7), and you may enter additional details in the Topic field (8). You can either Save (9) the poll for later use or Continue (10) with the setup (Figure 2).

Select participants

If you continue the setup, you can select participants for the poll in the next menu. Here you can simply click Select all (11) or mark specific individuals (12). Confirm your choice with Select (13), and here too you may optionally Save (14) the poll for later or directly Start poll (15) (Figure 3).

Survey details

In the next window, define the parameters for your survey (Figure 5):

  • Enter the desired duration (18) of the survey.
  • Decide whether you want to allow participants live observation (19) of the incoming results.
  • Define the topic (20) of the survey.
  • Provide at least two possible answers (21) to choose from.

You can either Save (22) the survey for later or start it immediately with Start survey (23) (Figure 5).

Running survey

Participants now have access to the survey and can select one answer. After submitting their choice, further voting is not possible. Once the set time has expired (or if live display is enabled), the percentage distribution of the votes (24) will be displayed. As the creator, you will also see how much time remains until the survey ends (25) (Figure 6).
